Surf Coast Arts Inc have provided them with the funds to pay the Muso's. (SCArts is a volunteer run arts organisation of artists and arts appreciators).
The NightJar Market is NOT organised OR funded by the Surfcoast Shire, like a lot of people think it is.
That is why they need all the sponsorship and donations they can get to help fund it's future.
This is the first year of the NightJar Market and already has proved to be a huge success
with around 4-5,000 people attending on each of two nights so far.
Obviously a well needed community gathering.
The plan is to run for four Thursdays in Jan, but have extended into the first week in Feb to make up for
the 'wash-out' on Jan 13.
There are approx 70 stalls in total, 20 of which are food stalls.
And judging by the ques lining up for a feed, it was all great.
The good news is 2012 will be a goer!!!
